Local SAP partner creates BPO unit

MANILA, Philippines -- Kaisa Consulting has launched its business process outsourcing (BPO) business, looking at leveraging on SAP's customer base.

Kaisa, a member of the RAMCAR Group of Companies, has built its services business around SAP. The company employs more than 100 SAP consultants, providing consulting as well as training services for SAP end-users.

Kaisa's BPO unit will handle transaction processing for several vertical markets, according to Teh Opinion, the company's managing director.

Target industries, she mentioned, include finance and accounting, supply chain management, customer relationship management (CRM), human capital management and document content management.

"We're targeting 250 seats this year, and double that next year. Our targets are MNCs (multinational companies) who want to outsource non-core processes (to the Philippines)," she said via text message to INQUIRER.net.

Opinion added that Kaisa is expanding its business beyond SAP.

"We are forging a partnership with two big players in the industry to deliver more solutions to our customers," she added.

Earlier this year, the company started setting up an office in Vietnam, citing a growing market for SAP consulting and training services. Since it began operations Vietnam, Kaisa has been sending its SAP consultants regularly to Ho Chi Minh. It has also hired eight Vietnamese SAP consultants to serve local end-users better.

Recent research by Foote Partners, a IT workforce research firm the US, shows that SAP technical consultants get on the average $83 per hour, and salaries can go as high as $200 per hour.
