The Philippines will make an all-out effort for a fabulous display at the 2010 World Expo 2010 in Shanghai.  From 01 May to 31 October 2010, about 70 million potential tourists and investors from 200 nations are expected to take part in this grand international gathering.

Showcasing the country's history and cultural essence to the world, the Philippine Pavilion will be approximately 2,000 square meters.  According to the Department of Tourism, the Philippine presentation will have the theme "displaying cities," highlighting the interaction between humanistic urban development and mankind as well as cities and environment through animation technology. With the concept or arts and achievement/ responsibility, it will show how the Filipinos incorporate urban construction with design, planning, management and sustainability and blend music and performance into the design and planning of specific cities.

The Center for International Expositions and Missions (CITEM) is preparing a special zone at the upcoming Shanghai Expo in October 2010, and is seeking participants to this endeavor.  Please contact CITEM for further information.
